Holiday At Melbourne
As i write this blog post, i have only one week remaining of my mid term holidays left. The last 2 weeks of my holidays were spent in Melbourne. The 1st week was with my friends and the 2nd week was with my family. I finally could taste some decent chinese food!! Upon reaching melbourne, which by the way was a 10 hour journey… me and my friends started our walk around melbourne city in search for some siu yook… and we found it at a place called A1. The siu yook there, was… not too bad actually, though nothing compared to the ones we have back in Malaysia. Before i continue any further, forgive the lack of expression and creativity in this particular post, coz it’s 2.50am in the morning and i feel obligated to write in my blog, but i can hardly keep my already so heavy eyes open.. =_= As i was saying, i ate some good siu yook with my friends. Hmmm.. what else i did in Melbourne..? Basically shopping and stuffs. Caught a movie while i was there too; 300 The movie was ok, but the blood was rather… animated..? erm… I went to 2 clubs there too. The 1st club i went to, was… ugHhH… it was really packed and though it was autumn, i was perspiring in the club. It was that packed. stuffy and hot and it played r&b music. Not really my cup of tea. The second club… aHhh now this was a club that was more to my liking. Genre of music was… Hard Trance… basically a place for those of the melbourne dance culture… the shuffle! Yes.. i finally got to shuffle my way around in a melbourne club.
It was quite fun really… though i must say there isn’t much of a difference compared to Malaysian Shuffling events in terms of the environment and all. The most distinct difference was the quality of the songs being played.
Now this was the 1st week of activities with my friends. The 2nd week as said earlier was with my parents. It was down to more homey family time kinda activities which is good, don’t get me wrong. I finally learned to appreciate my family’s presence around me ever so much more than i ever had. I guess, you never know what you don’t have till u lose it, and i had lost my family for 2 months plus so when they came, i was quite over the moon actually.
We went to phillip island, which is an island of penguins. Hahahaha, well yah… penguins… they were cute and all, but i had to wait a good 15 minutes before they came out from the sea to the sand to go back to their homes, and mind you… a beach in Australia during autumn with very strong winds can get really really cold~! But it was fun. Had a walk at the federation park where they had the federation bells. These bells play music, but i shan’t explain here. They just play music… =_= ….. I also went to the crown hotel, went into the casino, played 2 rounds of casino wars and ended up not winning nor losing… hahaha, just for the thrill..
ate some seafood, went to the melbourne aquarium, saw some sharks… but there were no great whites. I always had a fascination for great white sharks since the evergreen Jaws series was produced. This is my melbourne holiday in a short breath. As said earlier, my brain really can’t function at this time of the morning. Till my next post when my brain is more awake then… cheers mates!
